My driving is almost all highway (and associated traffic) now. But I saw pretty much the same as you when I was more local.

I don’t envy your commute then, I used to do stop and go on a highway. When i was in my busy season, going in early and staying late, I would drive empty interstates for 30 miles in both directions. When I wasn’t I sat in traffic both ways. My mileage in my car would be 23 or 32 depending. A sizeable difference for an economy coupe.

25 miles each way...but it’s basically against traffic to and 75% from. Not bad when it comes down to it because I’ve figured out the lane patterns and when I can floor it drive in a responsible manner.

26mpg LOL. This was the first nice week after the break in period and a harsh winter. That’s a tank average, no cheating! Stock everything and without the AP3.
I’m at 28k now, and average somewhere around 25mpg per tank on the stock tune. When I was driving to work everyday, I was averaging 19mpg on the Stage 1 93 AP3 tune.

Woah, idk why but I always thought the ST was more... Frugal.

I don’t think I’ve gotten 13mpg on a tank on even my hooniest of nights. Jeez.

26mpg is my new average. Used to be about 22mpg before the highway driving was upped by 40-ish miles a day.
Cruising on the highway can get you 33. Passing people above 75 can get you 28. “City” driving can kill you.

It’s not frugal at all. Especially in cold weather and when you can’t warm the thing up. My commute is just under 4 miles and the car simply will not warm up even by the time I get to work when it is under ~80F outside. The mileage drops off a cliff below ~60F. My dash is showing ~24mpg right now and I know that’s a huge overestimation.
I have netted a bit over 20% over EPA highway with a warm engine in pure highway driving on rolling western WA roads in my FoST. I imagine you could beat 40mpg if you tried in a flat place.
Even when hot, stop-and-go/city traffic quite dramatically increases fuel consumption. It does it much more extremely than in any other car I’ve ever owned...

Try harder! I think I was hitting 10mpg at HPDE.
